What I want to share with you today is titled, Do not postpone your success.
It may not sound weird to but hear me out first.
Anytime we postpone an action, it automatically postpones our results indirectly.
Anytime we reschedule a responsibility or an activity, it decreases the probability of the likelihood of success. And it’s very simple because it only confirms that a delayed action leads to a delayed response.
One thing most people have not realized is that we don’t only pay for the consequences of our actions but also, our inactions too.
So whatever it is that we are going through in life today is not only as a result of something we did bad back in the days but also something good that we may have failed to do.
And just as we are the architect of our own lives, The only person you are destined to become is the one you decide to do.
I don’t know what you are supposed to be doing and I don’t know why you haven’t started already but the Gospel truth is that, you are only pushing your success forward.
If you want to achieve something tomorrow, you have to start working at it today.
If you don’t put in the work today, it is obvious you can’t expect to have anything tomorrow.
Because life does not just give us what we want but rather, what we work for.
The Longer you keep procrastinating what you are supposed to do, the more you delay what you are destined to achieve.
One thing about human beings is that we become resolute when find ourselves in a tight corner.
We become resolute when we are entrapped.
We become born again when we start feeling the pressure of being left behind.
That’s the time some of us will be like, I won’t repeat these same mistakes next time, next year, my next life, etc. but as soon as some few days pass, we tend to forget what we even thought or planned of doing the previous year.
Some of you have great ideas and they are still not putting them in use. How do you expect to succeed with an untapped idea?
So one of the greatest inventors, Thomas Edison once said “The value of an idea lies in the using of it”
No one builds a Legacy by standing still.
Those successful men and women we see are not gifted. They just work hard without hesitation, without frequent procrastinations, without always finding excuses and then succeeded on a purpose.
I understand not every action will lead to happiness but there is of course no happiness without an action.
That is to say that in every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction.
Within every setback lies equal and even greater opportunities.
If you would, starting from today, limit the excuses, cut off the procrastinations and put that idea into use, you will soon have be smiling success.
I don’t know what is still keeping you waiting. Martin Luther King junior once said, “if you can’t fly, run, if you can’t run, walk, if you can’t walk crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep going”
