Sticking to a working process does not necessarily mean remaining rigid regardless of times and seasons. As you remain committed to working towards the goals you have set for yourself, you may have to adapt and make amends. That is to say, if the plan does not work, change the Plan and not the Goal.

I am very particular about this topic because I see how difficult it is for people to do that. And sincerely speaking, it is not an easy thing to do. But as determined as you are, to be successful financially, it is a culture we must learn to practice as a code of conduct.

If you want to achieve a lasting success, find a proven working process and stick to it until it produces the needed results.

The reason a lot of people don’t achieve success in already proven working processes is because of their inability to stick to things over a period of time.

I understand that at the start of life, randomness rules. However, your ability to stick to a certain working process will determine the depth, length, breadth and height of your success in that particular endeavor.

That is why sometimes you can see two people doing the same thing but one getting good results and the other failing.

Earlier on this channel, I shared an insightful episode on Goals and Process.

You see it is very important to have a goal/dream/aspiration, etc, just as it is also crucial to identify the processes that has to be put together in order to have that goal achieved.

One challenge that makes people unable to stick to some working processes is because of the time it takes for those processes to materialize. Some of us, it is not as if you don’t know what to do to get to where you want to be. But rather we feel like it’s a long process and its going to take much time so we will figure out the alternate ways and that has kept you still looking for years now.

The best thing that you can do is to stick to the processes that you know for sure, it can take you to your desired destination. Because if you abandon the process, the rest is obvious.

Sometimes shortcuts are even the longest route to take. Because there is no shortcut to greatness.

I want you to understand that any great achievement takes time.

Therefore, let it be your priority to patiently stick to the process because that is the surest guarantee.

These are some of the things you can practice to help you stick to your working process.

  • Remember why you have to be successful. By default, life is hard. Without a strong purpose, everything in life will be too hard for you.

Many at times, the problem is not about you starting, but rather being able to stick to it to the very end. A lot of people start, but only few are able to stick to it.

So Peter Hollins in his book titles finish what you start made a powerful statement. He said that some of the goals worth aiming for in life does not just call for a spirit but rather a marathon.

If your heart is not fit enough to run the length of it, you will find yourself halfway and giving up before reaching the finishing point.

It is very difficult and I understand. That is why only few people are able to achieve their goals in life. The only way out of the situation is to go through the process.

Genuine success lasts long.

  • Stay Hungry. Another thing that can help people to stick to a working process is staying hungry even when the going gets tough and you contemplate on giving up.
  • Whenever you find yourself bored or tired while working on your goals, consider how great you will feel when you finish. Every day, review your goals and why you want to complete them. Then let that fill you with motivation to drive you forward toward project completion. Be patient to grow it. As a matter of fact, there is no shortcut to greatness. No amount of shortcut can build a sustainable success over a period of time. By being patient to grow anything you are working on, it will help you stay dedicated and consistent until it reaches maturity. Anything worthwhile takes time. And it is advised that anyone who wants to achieve anything of greater importance to be patient.
